Hebrews 7:25  Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. (NIV)

Romans 8:31-35  What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? (NIV)

Who is praying for you? (Luke 22:32; Romans 8:26-35; Hebrews 7:25)

Stand up. (Hebrews 7:25)

Stand strong. (Luke 22:32)

Stand confidently. (Hebrews 4:15, 16)

Withstand everything. (Romans 8:26-35)

With Jesus, enter into the halls of ultimate justice with confidence. (Hebrews 10:19-25)

Christmas is a bigger gift than we have ever considered. Because of who Jesus is and what he has done for us, and what he is doing even now, we can live boldly, confidently, and delightfully above and beyond the problems of our lives. In each circumstance, no matter how dire, Jesus is working on our behalf to deliver us from temptation and sin and its consequences. He is working on our behalf to strengthen us for all he asks of us. He is cleansing us so that we can enter into our Father’s perfect presence. He is empowering us for everything the evil one hurls against us.

Nothing can separate us from his loving, saving, keeping, empowering presence (Romans 8:37-39).

So once in every universe, a gift is given which is truly one size fits all. But only once. And once is all that is necessary.

I will celebrate the one gift I needed most and need to share with everyone I meet.

Our Father, salvation, sanctification, and satisfaction each are aspects of the gift you have given to all who will receive it. You give us all we need day by day and moment by moment to live lives full of meaning and purpose. You are more engaged in our lives than we have imagined. You are more interested in our highest and best than we have considered. How could we not celebrate? Amen.
