And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
MATTHEW 6:13 (CSB)

Temptation is everywhere. We hear it on the radio. We see it on television. We read it in books. We experience it as we journey through our days. How can we find freedom from sin and deliverance from temptation? We ask Jesus to walk with us at all times in all circumstances.

Invite Jesus into your every thought right now. Ask him to halt your steps when you begin moving in the wrong direction.

Invite Jesus to direct your steps. Ask him to keep you on the right path. When you find yourself wandering off the right path, ask him to redirect you.

Ask Jesus to lead you step by step, thought by thought, word by word, moment by moment. When you do not know which way to go, ask him to show you the way. When you do not know what to think, ask him for wisdom. When you do not know what to do, ask him for knowledge and understanding.

We are about as alone in life as we want to be. Jesus wants to guide us in all things at all times. When Jesus leads, temptations are not so alluring. When Jesus leads, we are safe from the evil one. When Jesus leads, we get where we need to go when we need to get there.

The Jesus path is filled with adventure and purpose. His path always leads to meaning and fulfillment. His path is transformational.

“Where do you want to go today,” an old computer commercial asked.

I will go wherever Jesus leads.

Our Father, show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Lead me step by step, thought by thought, word by word, moment by moment. Amen.
