Isaiah 26:3, 4  You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.

Peace is possible. How? Peace prevails and overflows when we steadfastly trust God and carry him into every conflict.

Peace is a gift of God.

Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us, (verse 12).

Peace is God’s gift to those who do the right thing the right way for the right reason in the right timing.

The path of the righteous is level; you, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth, (verse 7).

Peace is the product of an unhurried and devoted life.

Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts, (verse 8).

Peace is the companion of those who seek God when they lie down and when they arise, those who work from a place of rest rather than resting from their work.

My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you.
When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness, (verse 9).
  • Receive God’s gift.
  • Do the right thing.
  • Live an unhurried and devoted life.
  • Seek God when you lie down to sleep and when you rise to begin the day.

I will live peacefully.

Our Father, thank you for your gift of peace. Empower me to discipline my life to receive in full what you offer to all who trust in you. Amen.

Daily D – 1 Timothy 2:1-4

1 Timothy 2:1-4 “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.”

Daily D – 2 Thessalonians 1:3

2 Thessalonians 1:3 “Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.”

Daily D – 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

1 Thessalonians 1:2, 3 “We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Daily D – Colossians 2:8-10

Colossians 2:8-10 “Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.”

Daily D – Philippians 2:2-5

Philippians 2:2-5 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
