Romans 6:4  We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. (NIV)

Dead people who live again live very different lives. Hollywood turns them into oppressed and misunderstood zombies. Jesus turns them into fully alive saints on mission who join him in liberating others from the law of sin and death. Live and love like Jesus.

I will join Jesus in his mission of spreading life.

Our Father, in a world obsessed with living death, I want to truly live. Like Paul, I want to say, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me,” (Galatians 2:20). Amen.

I was found by those who did not seek me.

I spread out my hands all day long
to a rebellious people
who walk in the path that is not good,
following their own thoughts.“

Isaiah 61:3

And they will be called righteous trees,
planted by the LORD
to glorify him.
(CSB)

”To all who mourn in Israel,
he will give a crown of beauty for ashes,
a joyous blessing instead of mourning,
festive praise instead of despair.
In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks
that the Lord has planted for his own glory.“

Daily D – Isaiah 58:3-4

Isaiah 58:3, 4

We have denied ourselves, but you haven’t noticed!”

“Look, you do as you please on the day of your fast,
and oppress all your workers.
You fast with contention and strife
to strike viciously with your fist.
You cannot fast as you do today,
hoping to make your voice heard on high.“

Daily D – Isaiah 55:8-9

Isaiah 55:8, 9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways.” This is the Lord’s declaration. “For as heaven is higher than earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.“
