Revelation 22:17  The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. (NIV)

God’s invitation extends to everyone. God’s goodness is available to everyone. God’s best awaits those who enter into the relationship that transforms every area of our lives and all creation forever.

We receive invitations of all kinds these days.
* Invitations to open credit cards
* Invitations to transfer credit card debt
* Invitations to events where we will be asked to give significant gifts
* Invitations to join special events
* Invitations to join special teams
* Invitations to go away and not bother me anymore

You get the picture.

There is one invitation we dare not miss. This is the invitation to know and experience God now and to live in his presence forever.

This invitation gives the one true gift that keeps on giving.

This invitation delivers the life that keeps on living.

This invitation must be received to be activated.

We found some unused gift cards this week. They had expired. Oops.

This invitation has an expiration date as well. Once the deadline has passed, there is no going back. Today is the day of decision.

Have you accepted God’s invitation?

Here is a great tool to help you understand how to accept God’s invitation: [https://stepstopeace.org/]

I will join Jesus in extending his invitation.

Our Father, thank you for your kind and generous invitation. I joyfully accept. Amen.

Daily D – 1 Timothy 2:1-4

1 Timothy 2:1-4 “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.”

Daily D – 2 Thessalonians 1:3

2 Thessalonians 1:3 “Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.”

Daily D – 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

1 Thessalonians 1:2, 3 “We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Daily D – Colossians 2:8-10

Colossians 2:8-10 “Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.”

Daily D – Philippians 2:2-5

Philippians 2:2-5 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
