Luke 8:25  Then he asked them, “Where is your faith?” The disciples were terrified and amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “When he gives a command, even the wind and waves obey him!” (NLT)

Peace is possible. The winds and waves heard and obeyed Jesus, and “all was calm,” (Luke 8:25). Hear and obey Jesus. Experience his peace (John 16:33).

To hear and obey God is the most important lesson we will ever learn and the most important lesson we will ever teach. Faith and obedience are deeply connected. Faith is believing that God’s words of truth and life are our best option. They are the best option not because we should be afraid of God for not doing what he says but because the best possible outcomes result from following God’s truth and wisdom.

The Divine Designer has a divine design for our lives (Ephesians 2:10). He is Good and wants us to join him in expressing his goodness in all things at all times.

Faith believes in God’s goodness, experiences God’s goodness, and spreads God’s goodness.

This is a good day to live the good life. Enjoy God’s presence, God’s peace, God’s direction, and God’s provision.

I will hear, obey, and adjust my steps to God’s clear and good direction.

Our Father, you are good. Your words of truth and life are good. You provide all we need to live good lives and to spread your goodness. Empower us to step out in faith today trusting in the peace of your presence in all things at all times. Amen.

Daily D – Isaiah 37:16

Isaiah 37:16 ”Lord of Armies, God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, you are God — you alone — of all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the heavens and the earth.“

Daily D – Isaiah 32:17

Isaiah 32:17
The result of righteousness will be peace;
the effect of righteousness will be quiet confidence forever.

Daily D – Isaiah 26:3-4

Isaiah 26:3, 4
You will keep the mind that is dependent on you
in perfect peace,
for it is trusting in you.
Trust in the Lord forever,
because in the LORD, the LORD himself, is an everlasting rock!

Daily D – Psalm 113

Psalm 113
Hallelujah!
Give praise, servants of the LORD;
praise the name of the LORD.
Let the name of the LORD be blessed
both now and forever.
From the rising of the sun to its setting,
let the name of the LORD be praised.

The LORD is exalted above all the nations,
his glory above the heavens.
Who is like the LORD our God —
the one enthroned on high,
who stoops down to look
on the heavens and the earth?
He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the trash heap
in order to seat them with nobles —
with the nobles of his people.
He gives the childless woman a household,
making her the joyful mother of children.
Hallelujah!

Daily D – Psalm 112:4-9

Psalm 112:4-9
Light shines in the darkness for the upright.
He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.
Good will come to the one who lends generously
and conducts his business fairly.
He will never be shaken.
The righteous one will be remembered forever.
He will not fear bad news;
his heart is confident, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is assured; he will not fear.
In the end he will look in triumph on his foes.
He distributes freely to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.
His horn will be exalted in honor.
