Who is this person who fears the LORD? He will show him the way he should choose.
PSALM 25:12 (CSB)

My question: What are God-worshipers like?
Your answer: Arrows aimed at God’s bull’s-eye.

(The Message)

Dinner discussions last night turned to an important conversation from last week. We talked about how to know and follow God’s direction for our lives. Adam and Eve walked with God, until they didn’t. Enoch waked with God until they went on home to God’s house.

Noah walked with God all the way onto the boat, but he had to be told to walk off of it. Abraham was told to “walk before me.”

Jesus said to the first disciples, “follow me.” Then they walked with him and worked with him. He then sent them out before him with instructions to report back. Finally, he commissioned them and sent them to all people everywhere.

Today may be a follow day. Or, it may be a with day. I could be a before me day. The most important matter is that we stay in close connection with our Father in heaven. David wrote what he had experienced. God shows us the way we should choose.

The Message provides confident encouragement. When we seek to know God deeply, he makes sure we hit the bull’s-eye.

I will hit God’s bull’s-eye today.

Our Father, show me the way I should choose. I worship you. Amen.

Daily D – 1 Timothy 2:1-4

1 Timothy 2:1-4 “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.”

Daily D – 2 Thessalonians 1:3

2 Thessalonians 1:3 “Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.”

Daily D – 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

1 Thessalonians 1:2, 3 “We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Daily D – Colossians 2:8-10

Colossians 2:8-10 “Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.”

Daily D – Philippians 2:2-5

Philippians 2:2-5 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
