You planted them, and they have taken root. They have grown and produced fruit. You are ever on their lips, but far from their conscience.
JEREMIAH 12:2 (CSB)

—————————————————————————

They talk as if they’re old friends with you,
but they couldn’t care less about you.

(The Message)

Your name is on their lips,
but you are far from their hearts.

(New Living Translation)

A prominent politician said recently that God approves of his perspective on a particular hot-button issue. Another said God approves of her perspective. It is hard to determine where they got the idea that God has awakened to the political correctness of our day and changed his mind.

From Genesis to Revelation, God clearly states truth for all people in all places in all times. Politicians can say, “God agrees with me,” all they want, but their lies are lies no matter how many times they repeat them.

Politicians are not the only ones who play this dangerous game. Every rationalizing soul at one time or another comes up with reasons or excuses for why God now agrees with them in spite of what he has always said.

God-talk without a God-walk is foolish.

God-talk without a God-heart is empty.

God-talk without a God-orientation is aimless.

Let it be, let it be, let it be, oh let it be that when we speak of or for God that we do so from a life fully attuned to his heart and completely aligned with his ways. May we shudder at the possibility of misrepresenting God’s truth. May we embrace, embody, and express his truth in all things at all times.

—————————————————————————
I will know God’s heart and walk in all of his ways.

—————————————————————————

Our Father, you have expressed yourself well and have preserved your words of truth and life for all people in all places at all times. Teach us your knowledge and wisdom. Shape our lives with it. Empower us to express it appropriately. May you ever be on our lips. May you always fill our hearts. Amen.

Isaiah 37:16 ”Lord of Armies, God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, you are God — you alone — of all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the heavens and the earth.“

Daily D – Isaiah 32:17

Isaiah 32:17
The result of righteousness will be peace;
the effect of righteousness will be quiet confidence forever.

Daily D – Isaiah 26:3-4

Isaiah 26:3, 4
You will keep the mind that is dependent on you
in perfect peace,
for it is trusting in you.
Trust in the Lord forever,
because in the LORD, the LORD himself, is an everlasting rock!

Daily D – Psalm 113

Psalm 113
Hallelujah!
Give praise, servants of the LORD;
praise the name of the LORD.
Let the name of the LORD be blessed
both now and forever.
From the rising of the sun to its setting,
let the name of the LORD be praised.

The LORD is exalted above all the nations,
his glory above the heavens.
Who is like the LORD our God —
the one enthroned on high,
who stoops down to look
on the heavens and the earth?
He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the trash heap
in order to seat them with nobles —
with the nobles of his people.
He gives the childless woman a household,
making her the joyful mother of children.
Hallelujah!

Daily D – Psalm 112:4-9

Psalm 112:4-9
Light shines in the darkness for the upright.
He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.
Good will come to the one who lends generously
and conducts his business fairly.
He will never be shaken.
The righteous one will be remembered forever.
He will not fear bad news;
his heart is confident, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is assured; he will not fear.
In the end he will look in triumph on his foes.
He distributes freely to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.
His horn will be exalted in honor.
