“This is what the LORD says: The one who gives the sun for light by day, the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar — the LORD of Armies is his name:
JEREMIAH 31:35 (CSB)

Presidents and professors deserve our attention. Preachers and prognosticators each deserve their due Sunday by Sunday as one speaks God’s words of truth and life and the other tells us who is going to win football games. Personalities and pilgrims explore their different paths often with interesting explanations.

Whose voice should we attend beyond all others? This verse is one of the slam dunks in the Bible providing the emphatic answer to this question.

Sun Maker and Moon Shaper not only created these shiny orbs, he also placed them perfectly to provide for this planet. He placed stars, other suns with other solar systems with other moons, perfectly arranged to provide silent guidance and awe-filled examination.

Galaxy Creator is our God, our Father in heaven. Behold the work of his words. From his creative mind, he spoke and it was done. His words create worlds.

Read this: “Then the LORD God formed the man out of the dust from the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being,” (Genesis 2:7).

Compare and contrast these complementary truths. Ponder the first five days of creation where God spoke all things into being. Consider the sixth day when he “formed the man out of the dust from the ground.” God’s words created worlds. God’s hand formed man.

Who deserves our ultimate attention, our premier focus?

There is only one right answer. This is a Pass/Fail examination.

I will give God my ultimate attention.

Our Father, every good idea, every wise insight ultimately traces its source to you. All healthy and wholesome delight is a gift from your abundance. You have my attention. I am alert to all you want to say. I am ready to do whatever you ask. Amen.

Daily D – 1 Timothy 2:1-4

1 Timothy 2:1-4 “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.”

Daily D – 2 Thessalonians 1:3

2 Thessalonians 1:3 “Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.”

Daily D – 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

1 Thessalonians 1:2, 3 “We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Daily D – Colossians 2:8-10

Colossians 2:8-10 “Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.”

Daily D – Philippians 2:2-5

Philippians 2:2-5 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
