Luke 2:21  When the eight days were completed for his circumcision, he was named Jesus — the name given by the angel before he was conceived.

Galatians 4:4, 5  When the time came to completion, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. (CSB)

God’s timing is perfect.

God’s love is limitless.

God’s purpose is the redemption and adoption of all people everywhere who will receive by faith God’s gift that was made possible by the work of his Son.

Jesus was fully human – “born of a woman.”

Jesus is fully divine – “He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God,” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Christmas is bigger, better, and broader than we have ever celebrated.

I will lean more fully into Christmas that I may more fully comprehend the crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus.

Our Father, I have lessons to learn about Christmas. Teach me. Grow my understanding. Deepen my appreciation for all you did then in just the right place at just the right time and in just the right way. Amen.

Daily D – Acts 18:24-26

Acts 18:24-26 Meanwhile, a Jew named Apollos, an eloquent speaker who knew the Scriptures well, had arrived in Ephesus from Alexandria in Egypt. He had been taught the way of the Lord, and he taught others about Jesus with an enthusiastic spirit and with accuracy. However, he knew only about John’s baptism. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him preaching boldly in the synagogue, they took him aside and explained the way of God even more accurately.
